Dark Age Miniatures Outcast warband

I checked out Dark Age a long time ago and since then the game and the miniatures have undergone some major revisions.

The whole world was redesigned by one Matt Weaver:

The game takes a lot of its inspiration from the art of Brom. Go ahead, look it up, I’ll wait.

Worth it, huh?

On a world abandoned and under siege by all sorts of aliens and raiders, only the toughest of humanity has survived.

The rules for Dark Age are freely downloadable and the supporting miniatures are some of my favourite ever. Especially Mongo. Now there is a sweet looking figure.

You can imagine how excited I was when they offered to send me some figures to check out. Although they’ve released two player boxsets, I had a dive through the catalogue and put together a warband.

My final warband is:

  • Warchief (Resculpt)
  • Outcast Scuts
  • Cesspool
  • Mongo
  • Bully
  • Pit Fighters

I came up with the warband via the online army list for the Outcast Nomads obeying the rule of cool more than tactical usability. When games come around, it will be interesting to see how they play out.

Click the links in the list above to see more detail of the painting of the warband.

Dark Age Miniatures Outcast warband
Dark Age is a skirmish level sci-fi miniatures game set on the abandoned world of Samaria. The miniatures draw inspiration, mostly, from the work of Brom. I am putting together an Outcast Warband for the game.
